Who we are

At Maji Mazuri Afrika, we believe water should give life, not take it away. Our journey began with a simple but urgent question: Why must communities suffer from what should be a source of life?

In Kenya’s Central Rift Valley, high fluoride levels have led to skeletal and dental fluorosis, causing pain, stigma, and the erosion of generations. We chose not to look away.

Founded in 2021 with a leap of faith in Baringo, we blend local wisdom and nature-based science to provide safe water through affordable, effective filters using Moringa oleifera seed char and Maerua subcordata root powder. We go beyond filtration, raising awareness, teaching communities, and advocating for water justice in marginalized regions.

We are more than a project. We are a wellspring of hope, a bridge between science and community, and a voice for the voiceless. Together, we are reimagining what it means to drink water in dignity.

At Maji Mazuri Afrika, our mission is to restore dignity and health by providing safe, affordable, and sustainable water solutions to fluoride-affected communities in Kenya. We blend local wisdom with nature-based science to deliver water purification, community education, and advocacy for water justice, ensuring every family can drink and cook with water that heals rather than harms. Our commitment is to stand with communities, listen deeply, and build practical pathways to safe water for all.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every child, mother, and family in Kenya can access clean, safe water without fear of illness or stigma. A future where water is a source of life and opportunity, not suffering, and where communities thrive with the knowledge and resources to protect their health and environment. We see a Kenya where water justice is a lived reality, and no one has to choose between wellness and survival.
